The Mission of Eddy County CASA
(Court Appointed Special Advocate) is to advocate
for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the court system, through the recruitment, training, and support of effective volunteer advocates.

Board Directors
Our board is comprised of dedicated leaders from the region who bring a wealth of experience and commitment to our mission. Leah Boone, serving as President, and Leslie Blount, as Vice President, both from Artesia, NM, provide strong guidance and vision. David Pedroza, also from Artesia, ensures our financial stability as Treasurer, while Laura Florez from Carlsbad, NM, manages our records and communication as Secretary. Additionally, Steven Starkovich from Carlsbad contributes valuable insights as a board member, rounding out a team that works tirelessly to advance our goals and serve our community.
Staff Members
Our team is led by Amy Wright, our dedicated Executive Director, who oversees operations with a commitment to excellence. Jasmine Cobb, our Program Coordinator based in Carlsbad, brings valuable experience and energy to managing our programs, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively. Clarisa Saenz serves as our Communications Coordinator, skillfully handling outreach and engagement to keep our community informed and connected. Together, our staff members work collaboratively to further our mission and make a positive impact through their expertise and passion.
