Values We Live at Eddy County CASA
At Eddy County CASA, we believe in the transformative power of integrity, compassion, and advocacy. Our values are rooted in the unwavering commitment to empowerment and ensuring that every child is heard, supported, and given the tools to build a brighter future. We live by principles of integrity, treating each child and family with dignity and respect. With compassion at the heart of our mission, we advocate tirelessly for children’s rights, ensuring they are protected and nurtured. Through commitment to children and collaboration, we work to foster a community where every child feels safe, valued, and equipped to thrive.
Why CASA Matters
When a child enters the foster care system due to abuse or neglect, they face an uncertain future. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers provide a consistent, caring adult who stands by their side and speaks up for their best interests in court, school, and beyond. These trained volunteers help ensure children are placed in safe, supportive homes as quickly as possible.
In Eddy County, CASA has served over 130 children in the last year alone, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Studies show that children with a CASA volunteer are more likely to succeed in school, receive necessary services, and find a permanent home faster than those without one.
Every child deserves a chance. Every child deserves a voice. CASA makes that possible.
Volunteer-Driven Organization
At Eddy County CASA, dedicated volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Trained and empowered, our CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of children in foster care, giving them a voice during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Specialized Volunteer Training
We provide thorough, hands-on training to prepare our CASA volunteers for the important responsibility of advocacy. Our program covers essential topics such as trauma-informed care, courtroom procedures, child development, and effective communication, ensuring every volunteer is ready to stand strong for the children they serve.
Community Engagement
We believe strong communities build stronger futures. Through outreach events, partnerships, and public education efforts, Eddy County CASA connects with individuals, businesses, and organizations across our area to raise awareness and recruit passionate advocates for children.
